Brittnie Anne Campbell, 17, of Richfield, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, surrounded by family. She was born on February 28, 2001 in Forsyth County, NC to Billy Joe Campbell Jr. and Crystal Thomas Stumbo.
She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and loved to sing at church on Sundays. Brittnie was in the 11th grade at East Rowan High School and she couldn't wait to get to school each day to see her teachers Coach Burris and Mrs. Summers, Macie Hudson, Mrs. Caldwell, and Mrs. Baker. She looked forward her Birthday Party every year and loved to sing, her favorite song was "Let It Go"from Frozen. Brittnie was always drawing, and wanted to give presents to everyone she met. She had a kind heart and showed compassion to everyone in her life. Brittnie loved going to Food Lion and Wal-Mart, and couldn't wait to get her Driver's License so she could get a job. Whenever you departed her company, it was never goodbye, but "be good and pray for everybody".
Brittnie is preceded death by, a great grandmother, Ruby Morgan.
In addition to her parents, Brittnie is survived by her sister, Brooklyn Thomas and fiance Colton; two brothers, Trevor Campbell and Michael Campbell; grandparents, Ellen Campbell and husband Billy Campbell Sr. of Richfield; step-grandfather, John Kendall and wife Carolyn Goodman; great-grandparents, Eli Morgan of Gold Hilll, and Kathryn Fields of Holden Beach; a grandmother, Cheryl Kendall; aunts, Donna Campbell of Richfield, NC, and Valerie Drane; cousins, RaeAnn Erdman, Brihanna Erdman, Damien Hillard and fiance' Savannah Barnhardt, and Addison; and many close friends.
The Family will receive friends on Monday February 4, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Powles Staton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church, conducted by Deacon, C.J. Riddle. Burial will follow the funeral at Brookhill Memorials Gardens.
