Patricia Lavender Jennings, 75, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at CMC Northeast Medical Center in Concord, NC.
Pat was born September 17, 1942 in McDowell County, NC to Hubert and Ella Lavender. She was educated at Old Fort High School. Pat worked as a seamstress and designer for Textile products.
After her retirement she was a loving and faithful caregiver to her husband. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God where she was a very active and faithful member. She dedicated her life to her family and serving the Lord. She loved to cook and prepare special meals for her family. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She never missed a special event, recital or ballgame they participated in. Pat enjoyed Carolina Panthers Football and was an avid Duke Basketball fan.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Lavender, Willie Lavender, Grover Lavender, Grady Lavender and John Lavender.
Patricia is survived by her husband Charles Calvin Jennings, son, Mark Jennings and wife Rebecca of Salisbury, NC; Daughters Sherry Elmore of Salisbury, Karen Brown and husband Paul of Salisbury, NC, Brother, Gary Lavender of Liberty, KY; Four Sisters, Polly Silver of Old Fort, NC, Viola Allison of Spartanburg, SC, Jean Jensen of Old Fort, NC, Fran Lavender of Old Fort, NC and also by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 10:30 am until 12 noon; with the service immediately following conducted by Dr. Greg Sloop at Kannapolis Church of God, 2211 West A Street, Kannapolis, NC.
Burial will take place in the US National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
