Blanch married Edward E. Drew in 1947. They shared a wonderful and loving marriage for 38 years until his death in 1985.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother James L. Brown, sisters Ruby B. Ridenhour (York), and Nell B. Bost (Hoyt).
