Hilton Max Lingle, 80, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018.
He was born September 16, 1937, in Granite Quarry, NC to the late Roy Maxwell and Katie Mae Bostian Lingle. Mr. Lingle was a 1955 Graduate of Granite Quarry High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1956 to 1959. Throughout high school and following his time of service, he worked with his father at Lingle Electric in Salisbury, which was started in 1936. In 1977, Mr. Lingle became owner and operator of Lingle Electric Repair, where he remained active until his health prevented. A member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, Mr. Lingle was an avid hunter who was passionate about farming and restoring 1955 and 1957 Chevrolet cars. He was a devoted father and grandfather, who dearly loved his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchild, Jesse Ann Yates.
Mr. Lingle is survived by his wife Mary Ann Fortune Lingle; daughters, Crystal Lingle Limerick and husband, Shane, of Salisbury, Jana Lingle Yates and husband, Chad, of Rockwell; son, Jonathan M. Lingle and wife, Mandy, of Salisbury; and grandchildren, Brooke, Alex, and Bayleigh Limerick, Callie and Calin Yates, and Kate Lingle.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Friday, June 29, 2018, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, Salisbury with Rev. Steve Holshouser, officiating.
Interment will follow in Christiana Lutheran Church Cemetery.
