Charles Leonard Huffman, 84, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at the NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury.
He was born November 29, 1933, in Salisbury to the late Delma and Elsie Menius Huffman. Mr. Huffman was a 1952 Graduate of East Spencer High School and was employed with Home Oil as a Dispatcher, retiring after 36 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1956 to 1958.
A member of Union Lutheran Church in Salisbury, Mr. Huffman was active in his church through teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and serving on Church Council. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and music, having his own Country Western Band. He also loved to spend time with his family.
Mr. Huffman is survived by his sons, Kevin Huffman, Brad Huffman and wife, Jan, and Todd Huffman all of Salisbury; daughter, Sonya Mulkey and husband, Thad of Salisbury; sisters, Barbara Ann Huffman and Ruth Brewer and husband, Jerry, all of Greensboro; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Delma Ray Huffman.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Friday, April 20, 2018, 1:30 pm - 2:45 pm in the fellowship hall at Union Lutheran Church.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 20, 2018, in the sanctuary of Union Lutheran Church.
Burial will follow in Union Lutheran Church Cemetery.
