Robert Wilford Clark, 67, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
He was born April 9, 1950, in Concord, to Elizabeth Ferby Langston and the late James Clark. Mr. Clark was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during Vietnam and was employed as a Housekeeping Supervisor at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church, enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, loved his dogs, Gracie and Tiny, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Sherry Lou Clark, whom he married September 12, 1997; sons, Terrance Clark of Philadelphia, PA, Robert Wilford Clark, II and wife, Tabitha of Fort Carson, CO, Joshua Adam DeHart of Lexington, Johnny Lee Keen and wife, Crystal of Salisbury; daughter, Yshkia Brown of Mocksville; sister, Sue Clark Bell of Kannapolis; special aunt, Lewis Ferby of Concord; honorary brothers, Ronnie Weaks of Concord and Billy Carpenter of Salisbury; grandchildren, Sabian, Laylah, Ashton, Hunter, Isabel; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his father, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Patrick DeHart and honorary brother, Tang Weaks.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM on Tuesday, February 27, at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell
The funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM on Tuesday in the chapel of Powles Staton Fuenral Home.
Interment will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury, NC 28144.
