Clara "Sue" Fisher Eller, 80, of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at her home in Salisbury.
She was born on October 17, 1937 in Rowan County, to the late Francis Oliver and Ruby Vannoy Fisher. She was a 1956 graduate of Granite Quarry High School.
Mrs. Eller was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, she was also a member of the Master Gardeners and the Rose Society.
Mrs. Eller was the Granite Quarry Elementary School cafeteria manager in the 1960's, later she was employed by the Rowan County Public Library Book Mobile, she finished her career at Security Bank & Trust working in the trust department.
Mrs. Eller was a resident protester against abortion, helped with the referendum to vote down liquor by the drink in Salisbury, and was the main advocate for the National Day of Prayer in Salisbury.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Hayden Eller; sons, Jimmy Andrew Eller and wife Jane of Salisbury, and Jess Alexander Eller and wife Joy of Faith; daughters, Jennifer Dawn Alessandrini and husband Rick of Salisbury, and Julie Hoffman and husband Sandy of Santa Fe, NM; Sister, Polly Fisher of Asheville; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 5, 2018, in the Faith Baptist Church, Faith, NC, with Dr. Tim Barnette, officiating.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Faith Baptist Church Family Life Center following the service.
