Jack Frye Jr., 69, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at his home in Salisbury, NC.
He was born January 4, 1948 in Forsyth County, NC to the late General and Mozelle Benson Frye. Jack worked for Piedmont Asphalt & Paving Co. and PAPCO for over 40 years. He was a member of High Rock Baptist Church and the Spencer Moose Lodge. Jack loved his John Deere tractors, being around people and spending time with his wife and family.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Frye.
Jack is survived by his wife of over 24 years, Linda Marlene Swinson Frye, whom he married September 10, 1993; two daughters, Sallyanne Jackson and husband David of King, NC, Sarah Asbury of Tobaccoville, NC; two grandsons, David Jackson, Jr., and Taylor Asbury; two sisters, Grace Ellen Shinault, and Gail Frye; and brother, Ralph Frye.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home Chapel, Rockwell, NC, with Rev. Trevor Foster, officiating.
Burial will follow in the High Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
