Sally O'Connell Plutt passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday October 26, 2017. She was a classy lady with a wonderful sense of humor who deeply loved God and her family. She was a devoted mom, wife, prayer warrior and friend. Sally was born on October 1, 1934 in Denver, Colorado. Most of her youth was spent on the west coast, but she returned to Denver and graduated from East High School. She attended Colorado A and M (now Colorado State University) and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

It was at A and M that she fell in love with a soon to be Air Force fighter pilot, and she and Phil were married on March 19, 1955. She was an AF wife for almost 30 years and enjoyed the adventure of traveling the US, Europe and the Middle East. She demonstrated her toughness and resiliency in coping with the hardships that were a part of military life, as she quietly and expertly adapted to each new challenge, be it frequent moves, or long unaccompanied deployments by her husband.

Though she accomplished much in her life, and was a blessing to many, being an excellent wife, mom and grandmother (Mimi) was her greatest love. She dearly loved her extended family, and her relationship with her son Steven, daughter Amy, and her six grandchildren, Lindsey, Emily, Jon, Lauren, Jacob, and Payton was truly special. Sally lived a very active life playing golf, skiing, running and biking to stay fit; she sewed, painted, was an excellent cook, and an accomplished hostess. In 1981, she developed a personal relationship with Jesus and was very active in her church attending bible studies, worship conferences, and as an intercessory prayer Warrior. She cared deeply about the people in her life and was elated to have the surety in her heart of being with her “dear ones” again soon, for eternities upon eternities, in heaven, together with Jesus. This was her hope and joy and she looked forward to it.

Services will be private.
