William Ferrell “Bill” Hall, 70, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. He was born June 7, 1947, in Reidsville, NC to the late Thomas E. Hall, Sr. and Mamie Kathleen Warren Hall.
Mr. Hall was a 1965 graduate of Reidsville High School and retired from Duke Energy after 42 years, starting his career as a lineman and “climbed his way to the top,” retiring as a supervisor. In retirement, he worked part time for Enerco in Salisbury, a contractor for Duke Energy. Mr. Hall was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. He was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed events involving UNC Chapel Hill or the Atlanta Braves but especially loved watching his grandchildren participate. Mr. Hall enjoyed spending time taking his wife shopping where he enjoyed “people watching.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas E. Hall, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Moorefield Hall, whom he married April 25, 1969, daughter, Kiperly Hall Annas (Joey) of Hickory, son, Chris Hall (Larissa) of Rockwell, brother, David Hall of Reidsville, and three grandchildren, Landon, Chasen, and Kiersyn.
The family will visit with friends and relatives from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM on Friday, August 25, 2017, at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM on Friday in the chapel of Powles Staton Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Floyd Repass. Interment will be held in Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
