Donnie Kay Hinceman , 73, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

He was born June 10, 1944 in Charlotte, NC a son of the late Grady and Jessie Moffit Hinceman. Mr. Hinceman attended East Rowan High School, he was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Salisbury. Previously he was a member of Dunn's Mountain Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and chairman of building and grounds.

Mr. Hinceman founded Hinceman Construction and was a General Contractor until his son Lonnie took the business over in 1997, he continued to work with his son until retiring in 2015.

Mr. Hinceman was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a very devoted animal lover. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by Sisters, Doris Gammons and Gerry Basinger.

Donnie is survived by his wife of over 55 years Wanda Hinceman, whom he married on August 6, 1961; son, Lonnie Hinceman and wife Kristen of Salisbury; daughter, Rhonda Breedlove and husband Johnny of Salisbury; three grandsons, Nicklaus, Gabe and Isaac; two granddaughters, Leah and Chloe; two brothers, Grady Hinceman and Terry Hinceman; sister, Greta Loflin.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Sunday, July 23, 2017, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Salisbury.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 23, 2017, in the First Baptist Church of Salisbury with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Lance, officiating.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Salisbury National Cemetery with Funeral Honors provided by the Rowan County Veteran Honor Guard and the NC National Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Donnie may be made to First Baptist Church of Salisbury 223 N. Fulton Street Salisbury, NC 28144.
