Henry Tillman Duncan, 88, of Rockwell, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017. He was born March 30, 1929, in Lancaster, SC, to the late Arthur Gillespie Duncan and Naomi Edwards Duncan.
Mr. Duncan was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1947-1950. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Rockwell and a member of the Rockwell Lions Club. Mr. Duncan worked in sales in Brand Jewelers and at K-Mart, from which he retired.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith H. Duncan, grandson, Patrick Parker, and sister, Harriet Guabelly.
Mr. Duncan is survived by his sons, Henry Michael Duncan (Kathleen), Rodger Thomas Duncan (Betty), and Matthew Hilton Duncan (Mary El), step-daughter, Trudy H. Amery, grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Cole, and Kristen Duncan, Tonya Beaver, Alex, Mark, and Brandon Amery, and great-granddaughter, Parker Beaver.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at St. James Lutheran Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM on Thursday in the church, conducted by Rev. Jason Huebner, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites.
