James Lee Lovingood Sr., 64, of Yadkinville, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born on January 31, 1953 to the late Ralph Lee Lovingood and Ethel Hughes Lovingood in Andrews, NC.
James was a member of Sherrill's Ford Road Baptist Church and worked as a Forklift Operator for Lydall Manufacturing. He enjoyed fishing, talking on HAM Radios, and riding motorcycles. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his dogs (Sophie and Kallie). James was also a past member of the Rockwell City Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Dockery.
James is survived by a daughter, Janice Poole (Brian) of Salisbury; two sons, James Lovingood (Angie) of Salisbury, and Justin Lovingood (Jamie) of Rockwell; and six grandchildren, Madison Lovingood, Colby Lovingood, Callie Thrasher, Kendall Burrell, Cameron Jordan, and Carson Lovingood.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday March 4, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Powles Staton Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Powles Staton Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Joey Spry. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
