George Russell Morgan, 65, of Salisbury passed away at his home on February 1, 2017, surrounded by the loving arms of his family and friends. His death leaves his family, friends and everyone who knew him with great sadness, but also with a greater gift of memories and laughter. He was a man of many talents, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, a generous friend and a craftsman. But most of all, his humor and off-the-wall stories made us howl with laughter and will always be a part of us. George will be missed every day, but he will be held close in our memories and hearts. We will love and cherish him always.
He was the son of late Doris Russell Morgan and Baxter M. Morgan. Family members are his wife, Martha Lay Morgan; his daughter, Danielle Morgan Cooney and husband Mike of Denver; his son Michael Morgan and Jeana Young of Denver; his adored grandson, Colin Cooney; sister Kay Morgan and husband Terry Deese of Newton; sister Pam Brunell and husband Jeff of Davidson and sister-in-law Brenda Lay of Salisbury.
