Michael Joseph Pressley , 57, of Gold Hill, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 at his home. He was the loving husband of Tina Pressley to whom he was married 19 years.
Michael was born on August 14, 1959 to the late Nathan Pressley, Jr. and Jo Ann (Hailey) Pressley in Salisbury. He worked as a technician for Ingersoll-Rand in Mocksville.
Michael was an avid fisherman and loved to go deep sea fishing in Carolina Beach. He caught massive amounts of fish over his lifetime. He also was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed target practice.
Michael was always willing to do anything for anyone in need, and would help anyone in his family or community whenever they needed it. Family was the most important part of Michael's life and he was a very loving husband, father and son. Throughout his life he never failed to make sure that he was by his mother's side every Mother's Day. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife Tina and his mother Jo Ann, Michael is survived by his son, Nathan Pressley, III; and his sister, Angela Pressley (Marty North) of Kannapolis. He was preceded in death by his father.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 1-2 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell. A service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel.
