Ed John "Johnny" Morgan, Jr. 74, of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at CMC-Northeast in Concord, NC.

He was born on September 5, 1942 to the late Ed John Morgan, Sr. and Margaret Montgomery Morgan in Davidson County NC. Johnny was a graduate of East Rowan High School. Before retiring as a Maintenance Engineer for Tyco International, Johnny worked for HBD Industries for 25 years.

He was a member of Gold Hill Methodist Church, and the Spencer Moose Lodge # 2019. Johnny had many hobbies including anything outdoors, however he was most passionate about reading and studying the Bible.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by Brother, Ronald Ray Morgan, Nephew, Ronnie Keith Morgan

Johnny is survived by his Wife of 30 years, Sharon Greene Morgan, whom he married October 10, 1986; Two Sons, Ed John Morgan, III of Jacksonville, FL, and Sheldon Lee Morgan and wife Donna of Gold Hill; Daughter, Judy Diane Suddeth and husband Bucky of Salisbury; Two Granddaughters, Addison Noel Morgan and Ashley Suddeth; Two Grandsons, Cody Lee Morgan and Casey Suddeth; Great-grandson, Hagan Morgan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.

There will be a private graveside service.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all Johnny's doctors and nurses in ICU at CMC Northeast in Concord.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Johnny may be made to Canaan Baptist Church 785 Barringer St. Salisbury NC 28146.
