John Anthony DeSimone, 61, 0f Concord passed away at his residence Sunday, August 14, 2016. John was born in Montorio Nei Frentani, Italy on June 18, 1955 son of the late Giacinto DeSimone and Sofia DiLuca DeSimone.
Mr. DeSimone was a graduate of Teterboro School Of Aeronautics in New Jersey. He was a Veteran having served in the US Navy, John has worked for US Air as an Aircraft Mechanic for over 35 years, he was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Victory Lodge 1725. John enjoyed watching old movies, making family movies, watching fireworks and his hobby was airplanes.
John was a very generous man and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Betty DeSimone, children; Giovanni DeSimone and wife Robin of Wake Forrest, Priscilla Shew and husband Adam of Salisbury, Michael DeSimone of Lexington; grandchildren, Giovanni, Brianna and Victoria and sister Maria Coppa and husband Giovanni, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Powles Staton Funeral Home from 12:00 till 1:45Pm Friday.
Service: Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday at Powles Staton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Herring, pastor of Stallings Baptist Church officiating.
Burial: Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00AM Monday, August 22, 2016, at the Salisbury National Cemetery (Statesville Blvd) with Military Honors provided by The US Navy and the Rowan County Honor Guard.
