Celeste Boger Shue, of Rockwell, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016. She was born on November 23, 1919 in Davidson County, she was the daughter of Brady and Pearl Boger.
Ms. Shue was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She was a devoted member of Grace Bible Church and a member of the chior for years. She was a skilled seamstress and an expert quilter, making over 200 quilts through the years. Ms. Shue was a past member of the Rowan Quilting Guild.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Shue is preceded in death by husband of over 60 years in 1995, James Matthew Shue, Jr; son, Raymond Wayne Shue in 2004; her eldest grandson, Gregory Shue; and son-in-law, Walter Sebastian in February 2016; she also preceded in death by 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
Ms. Shue is survived by her son, Kenneth Shue and wife, Sylvia of Greensboro; and daughter, Nancy Sebastian of Thomasville. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16th from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Grace Bible Church.
Service: The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at 2:00 pm at Grace Bible Church, conducted by Rev. Stephen Parker. Burial will follow in Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Ms. Shue made be made to Grace Bible Church, 6725 E. NC 152 Hwy., Rockwell NC 28138 or to the Alzheimers Association 4600 Park Rd. # 250 Charlotte NC 28209.
The family would like to thank the staff at Westchester Manor where Ms. Shue resided for the last 5 ½ years in High Point for the excellent care and love they gave her.
