Mr. Joe Allen Renegar, 72 of Salisbury passed away on June 23, 2016. Mr. Renegar was born in Yadkin County on July 9, 1943 son of the late George Henry Renegar and Ruby Reavis Renegar.
Mr. Renegar was a graduate of Courtney High School and Rowan Technical College. He was a supervisor at Kosa. He was a veteran of the National Guard.
Mr. Renegar was a member of Christiana Lutheran Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher and a former council member. His hobby was writing and he was a author and a poet.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Mr. Renegar is survived by his wife, Helen Ann Renegar whom he married July 20, 2003, son
Kelly " Joey" Renegar and wife Marleania Miller of Yadkinville and step-son Rocky Bates of Kannapolis, daughter Misty Lynn Renegar and husband Chris Chappell of Yadkinville and step daughter Deborah Holzendorf and husband Bill of Salisbury.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Crystal Spicer, Kellie Renegar, Joseph Renegar, Adam Renegar, Isaac Renegar, Luke Renegar, Lillian Renegar, Charity Chapell, Courtney Chapell and great grandchild Hunter Renegar.
The sands of time are running out
On this life of mine
And there won't be no legacy
For me to leave behind
But still if just one person
Remembers me as a friend
Then life for me has been a success
When it comes to an end.

The family will receive friends at Christiana Lutheran Church on Monday, June 27th from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
The funeral service will be on Monday, June 27th at 2:00 pm at Christiana Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Carl Haynes, pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
