James Clyde "Jimmy" Kluttz, 81, of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

He was born on January 10, 1935 to Gaither Brown and Edna Artz Kluttz in Rowan County, NC. He was educated in the Rowan County School System.
Jimmy was a member of Organ Lutheran Church. He was a founding member of the Bostian Heights Fire Department. Jimmy worked for Ryburn Farm Equipment for 29 1/2 years, then he went into business for himself as a farm equipment mechanic for 20 plus years until his retirement in 2001.
Jimmy loved hunting, he was a member of the Bernhardt Hunt Club, he loved to fish at the river and at the coast. He enjoyed traveling in the North Carolina and Tennessee Mountains. Jimmy was very well known for his homemade wine.

Jimmy is survived by his Wife of over 32 years, Ruby K. Kluttz; Two Daughters, Lynne Kluttz Ramsey and husband Gary of Salisbury, and Lisa Kluttz Earnhardt of Granite Quarry; Son, Benny J. Kluttz of Salisbury; Six Granddaughters, Amanda Ramsey and husband Dan of Tacoma, WA, Christy Patterson of Gold Hill, Heather Kluttz of Landis, Andrea Lefko and husband Michael of Charlotte, Angela Cline of Mooresville, and Janice Ramsey of Granite Quarry; Two Grandsons, Daniel Kluttz and wife Brittney of Salisbury, and Bryan Kluttz of Salisbury; Two Step-Daughters, Connie Barringer and husband Kim of Salisbury, and Tammy Goodman of Rockwell; Two Step-Grandsons, Nickolas Goodman of Salisbury, and Chad Barringer of Salisbury; Two Step-Granddaughters, Melanie Goodman of Lexington, and Melissa Kelly of Salisbury; Sister, Edith Kluttz Deal of Atlanta; 13 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 9, 2016, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, 11:00 am at the Organ Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC, with Rev. Carlin Ours, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
