Rebecca (Becky) Bost Eidson , age 79, entered Heaven Tuesday, June 6, 2017. She was born July 31, 1937 to Shuford and Fallie Bost making her the baby of five children. She was born and raised in Rockwell where she lived her entire life. Becky attended Rockwell School for 12 years and graduated in1955. She later graduated from Salisbury Business School.
Becky never met a stranger. She knew many people from her jobs at the drug store downtown Rockwell, Nazareth Children's home, Rockwell Radio and Electric, Ro-Well Apartments, and The Meadows Assisted Living. She loved working in the public.
Becky was a woman of great faith. She attended St. James Lutheran Church most of her life. She taught Sunday school for many years mostly teaching young people.
Becky was a very active member of Miller Russell Legion Auxiliary until the late 1990's. She served as unit president, county president, but most importantly junior auxiliary leader. This is where she met her soul mate, Lloyd Eidson, who she married April 12, 1975. In December 1975 Becky became a mom to Debbie, her only child.
Once Debbie started school Becky began volunteering and subbing in the schools. She became MomMaw Eidson in 1998, when her daughter began teaching school. She loved visiting the kids on Fridays. She has approximately 350 grandchildren this way.
Before she died, she lost both her parents and siblings Benard Bost, Durwood Bost, Delmer Bost, and Edith Ribelin.
Left to remember Becky are many friends and family; daughter, Debbie; extra daughter, Jody Morgan; extra son-in-law, Mike Morgan; and special grandchildren, Keelee, Chandler and Ethan Morgan.
Visitation: The family will be at Powles Staton Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, June 11, and at the residence the remainder of the time.
Service and Burial: Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 AM. Monday, June 12, at St. James Lutheran by Rev. Jason Huebner and Rev. Charles MacManus. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
